Canada Day Celebrations

Saturday July 1 at 11:00 AM
Riverside Park
709 Woolwich Street
Guelph ON N1H 7G6
Saturday July 1 at 11:00 AM

Come celebrate Canada Day in the Park.  Canada turns 150 and the Rotary club celebrates 25 years. There are lots of family friendly activities, food vendors and of course fireworks at dusk.

Guelph has a wonderful Canada Day In The Park celebration each year on July 1st in Riverside Park.  It will be even more special this year because of Canada 150.

Canada Day In The Park runs from 11am to 10pm, ending with a spectacular fireworks display. Entry to Riverside Park is free, but visitors are encouraged to give a voluntary donation to charity when they enter.  There are many food vendors (or people can bring their own picnic), interesting exhibitors and non-food vendors, games, entertainment, free rides all day on the park’s carousel and mini-train,a petting zoo, free bouncy castles, chess games under the trees, free games for children, face painting, and more.  In the afternoon there is also a big Yellow Rubber Ducky Race in the river (really fun to watch!) and a Citizenship Ceremony that takes place on the main stage. There is also a funfair (midway) with rides (but these have to be paid for).  Visitors like to bring a blanket for the evening to sit on the grass near the main stage while they listen to live music and wait for the fireworks. It is a most enjoyable day in Guelph!

Canada Day In The Park is Guelph’s biggest one-day event of the year, drawing 20-30,000 visitors to the park during the day.  It is hosted each year by volunteers from the Rotary Club of Guelph as a community service. This will be our 25th year of hosting Canada Day.

Fun family activities starting at 11am with a musical fireworks finale closing the day about 10pm. Donations: $2/per person or $5/per family to help support local charities and events.

Music Lineup: To be announced!
