Event Description

This fall, the Art Gallery of Guelph presents a series of thought-provoking exhibitions that take as their starting point the contested relationship of identity, landscape, and place. Join us Thursday, September 14th at 7 pm for a public reception to celebrate the opening of 150 Acts: Art, Activism, Impact, My curiosities are not your curios, and Light in the Land: The Nature of Canada.

150 Acts: Art, Activism, Impact (Sep 14, 2017 – Feb 11, 2018)
150 Acts provides a platform for diverse narratives that imagine new social futures, featuring foundational art works from the AGG’s collections complemented by new art practices.

My curiosities are not your curios (Sep 14 – Dec 17, 2017)
Curated by 2017 Middlebrook Prize winner Yasmin Nurming-Por, this exhibition features the work of contemporary artists for whom the act of collecting is both a creative and critical practice.

Light in the Land: The Nature of Canada (Sep 14 – Dec 17, 2017)
