| Celebrating music from North America
Coming back to North America on the GSO World Tour, this concert presents Dvorak’s Ninth Symphony (“from the New World”). West Coast composer Michael Conway Baker composed a concerto in 2004, which will be performed by GSO Harpist Andrew Chan. The concert gets off to a rousing start with Canadian composer Oskar Morawetz’s bright and breezy Carnival Overture. Special $20 ticket offer after 6pm Friday Feb. 17, 2012, for ages 29 and under.
