The DSC is a working farm, and to keep costs down (so we can spend more on the animals) we have only a few staff members. They have a lot of work to do each day: giving medications, cleaning the barnyard, and attending to the animals’ needs. On days we’re not open to the public, we use the time for haying, farm maintenance, veterinary and farrier treatments, and other big jobs, and we like to be able to do so uninterrupted. The farm is also home for two private residences. Please respect their privacy and our hours of operation.
